Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What does Invest Assurance do?

On behalf of our Partner-Members (PMs), we setup and support the administration of Bitcoin (3 of 5) Multi-Signature Wallets. Helping Part-Members do something they can't easily do on their own or choose not to do themselves.

PM's list all their (multi-signature) Partial Key Custodians (PKCs) to assign responsibility for their PARTIAL CODES, that would eventually unlock secure private keys, visible only to PM. On their behalf, we then communicate with the partial key custodians regarding next steps.

PM PKCs will be forwarded parts (or "shares") of the secret code (which need to be combined with other PARTIAL CODES by other partial key custodians) to unlock your private keys, thereby becoming visible only to PMs and/or Beneficiaries.

We provide training, data, information and "how to" support throughout the Invest Assurance process.

What happens after I subscribe?

Immediately after you subscribe, you will receive an email acknowledging your subscription payment. We will contact you by phone to discuss next steps and answer any further questions you may have.

How soon after I subscribe will my Beneficiary receive the Certificate?

Within 1 hour if DDC Certificate is requested via email or in approx. 5 business days for the printed version of Digital Deposit Certificate.

How will I know that my payment has been deposited into the BTC account of the Beneficiary?

All deposits into your Beneficiary's account will be visible the same day and accessible 24/7, 365 at a number of Public Ledger sites, as well as, an App like SATpile.

Another App to download and use to Watch Your Balance is BlueWallet.io  Click here for instructions to set up your Watch-Only Wallet.

Can I cash out or get my money back before the agreed upon redemption period of 4 years?

Yes. You will be able to get a refund issued within 24 hours if there has been an error in your submission. Only a limited number of these refunds will be allowed per Depositor. Beneficiaries will also be consulted before the refund is processed. If the Beneficiary disagrees with the refund request then we will unlikely be able to process a refund once payment has been made.

How long will my Beneficiary have to wait before redeeming their funds (trust estate)?

The Beneficiary will be able to redeem their Estate Property at any time, but no earlier than provided for in the original payment and sign-up form and as indicated on the DDC Certificate. The standard times that we generally hold the Trust Property is from 4 to 5 years. This is when the best results have been noted for digital assets like Bitcoin and others. Also, Beneficiaries must be of legal age to be able to provide proof of identity, sign agreements and decide for themselves whether they would like to redeem their certificate.

How will I know that my digital property is secure?

We have many options available to assure your peace of mind to check whether your digital assets are safe and available:

  1. A 5 to 8-part Multi-Signature process is core to our service. All Partner-members have 100% control of their Private Key held in trust by their own-appointed Partial Key Custodians.

  2. There's an App (SATpile) which you can download here, which will give you access, at all times, to see your balances on your certificate/s

  3. Digital Statements are available of your Public Ledger balance - upon request and sent via email the same day.

  4. System backups are made daily - both online and offline - to ensure continued consistent and reliable operations.

FOR QUALIFIED, ACCREDITED PARTNER-MEMBERS ONLY:

  1. There are random Audits of the physical keys that take place multiple times a year. You can request these Audit Reports at any time. You can also fund your own random auditing of the keys at any time, provided scheduling is coordinated to ensure access to the bank vaults.

  2. The split Private Keys are held in safe deposit boxes in multiple banks not accessible to anyone except authorized staff at the banks and our team.

What is "Private Key Banking" and "Deep Cold Storage"?

PRIVATE KEY BANKING- (only for Accredited Partner-Members who make special Custody Service Requests from DDC Corp)

The new field of "private key banking" or "cryptocurrency asset banking" is a recent development in the banking field. In the United States banks were permitted to provide cryptocurrency custody services starting July 22, 2020. BlockchainXperts has subsequently developed the first and most secure crypto asset custody system currently available to banks.

We implement the world's most secure cold storage with banks, by amongst other security techniques, using 2 types of secure hash algorithms (including Argon2); 4 independent nodes; 5 separate layers of security, as well as; a composite of 10 keys (including algorithmic keys, physical keys and cryptographic keys) each of which belongs to the nodes in the 5 layers of security. The virtual plus"brick-and-mortar" security, includes a decentralization of keys and distribution of assets globally - all while maintaining strict, client-exclusive/"single-entity" control of the private keys. Clients have exclusive access to their private keys, without having to save their private key anywhere.

There is no need for the client to remember and store the private key until either the client requests withdrawal/transfer of funds or until duly authorized heirs, beneficiaries or inheritors request access to the private key/s. Of the 5 independent layers of security offered, the bank plays the central and most important part in maintenance, management and custody, hence the term "private key banking." BlockchainXperts offers the proprietary system, overall process management and training for implementing and running cryptocurrency asset and private key banking.

DEEP COLD STORAGE - (Accredited Investors Only making Custody Service Requests from DDC Corp)

While keeping your crypto on a USB hardware drive might seem like the best way to keep your crypto safe, there is another option for extreme cases in which maximum security is required: deep cold storage.   Just like how you might keep your valuables like gold, silver, or jewelry in a safety deposit box or a vault in a bank, deep cold storage works similarly for crypto. Your private keys are kept in vaults and safety deposit boxes, split up at multiple banks and branches.

Deep cold storage is mostly used by those who own millions of dollars worth of Bitcoin or more. Obviously, taking this approach means you can't easily access that crypto again anytime soon. The main users of deep cold storage tend to be other big crypto companies themselves, like exchanges.

Deep cold storage would typically be used for holding large amounts of bitcoins, or for a trustee holding bitcoins on behalf of others.
